The story ditches the played-out origin, but at the same time, opts for a much older Spider-Man than is usually portrayed. The writing team at Insomniac have crafted yet another one for the books. One of the reasons for Spider-Man’s popularity is the endearing nature of his character and the emotionally resonant stories that stem from it.
